The Icelandic eruption didn’t bring doom and gloom everywhere it seems. Land and sea travel are benefiting from the crisis.
Whitney Houston was lucky to take a ferry from Britain to make her gigs in Dublin last week. But with all the ferries and trains booking out it’s left to cab drivers to take up the additional journeys. A company in the UK hit the news when a group of business men paid £1200 to take a taxi from the UK to Geneva. Think that’s big? Monty Python actor John Cleese topped that by hiring a taxi for £3,300 when he was stuck in Norway.
It’s not often there’s good news stories for taxi drivers. Let’s hope the good news keeps coming!
